So the first night of realife was FA-RESH! We went OVERBOARD on decor, putting up the lights, sticking up posters, setting up a photobooth vibe...all out. My main focus was obviously the photobooth, as I have been given the job(which is my absolute joy) to take photos! All the kids came rushing in and had to strike a pose, which our peeps are extremely good at. I got STACKS of rad pics..our people are fabulous!
Now...my main dream in life is to change the face of image and to show the world what the King sees...not exactly sure how yet, but He'll give me the plan.
I strongly, strongly believe that the world is where it is today bacause of media (and obviously technology, however, what people see/hear, they copy.) Known fact- without us even thinking about it we copy what we see/hear....image is imprinted in your brain(why do you think you have flashbacks or dream??)...fashion, design, sound, whatever it may be...BUT the reason we are here is to bring the original sound and image BACK. We are not the alternative,we are the original and we have chosen to become alien to the world, which basically includes bringing forth HIS sound and HIS image. The "secular" world though, has become the center.
So, from what I have seen, we are so caught up in trying to listen/see what the world has got and add to or try to change it into something pure, that we miss the fact that the Kingdom needs to be built from the CORRECT foundation! Instead of seperating ourselves from the sound or display of the depraved generation, we just look at them and check out whats "hot right now" and create something similar but with the intention of purity?? PURE=unmixed.untainted.Simple as that! I really think God's heart is to display Himself purely. I, I want to capture that exact image. When He is displaying His glory or simply trying to say something to the world...I want to capture that and distribute it. Yes we look at ideas and no its not wrong, but we have to be untainted and seperate. Creating with the Creators idea. I want the world to see the imitation of the REAL thing, not what everybody already knows and sees. Nothing is sacred anymore, not even the clothes we wear! I can buy a pair of sneakers from the Nike store and think im all that but I see the same pair in Street Gear...not hating...just showing you how nothing is KEPT. The same applies to image and sound, most of the stuff we see on T.V. and hear people sing/rap about is what SHOULD be KEPT behind closed doors...or not even be DONE behind closed doors. The definition of kept is: having the expression of principles, controlled, dominated, to maintain in usable or edible condition or to have regularly in stock!!! Can you see why I say nothing is kept?! What good are you (you being the whole world) if you cannot KEEP yourself?! What principles are you displaying? How can you oneday give yourlself WHOLLY to someone if you have nothing in stock? In other words...what are you keeping? You can be set free of that image you cant get rid of, or that song that so easily flows from your lips. The media hold back nothing...so be careful little eyes what you see and be careful little ears what you hear.
